The project
Oakley Gardens is an exclusive private development of nine high end homes, where the buyer expectation for finish, technology, and long term running costs is considerably higher than a standard new build. Furlow Construction specified the Mitsubishi Ecodan air source heat pump alongside GSE in-roof solar PV to deliver a complete low-carbon energy package that would appeal to a discerning buyer.
What we delivered
GSE in-roof solar PV across all nine plots, integrated with the Mitsubishi Ecodan heat pump specification. The in-roof GSE system was the right choice for a development at this price point, with its clean flush profile and premium aesthetic that complements high end architecture. Every system was MCS certified, fully commissioned, and handed over with complete documentation.
Why it worked
Buyers at the top end of the market expect the technology in their home to be invisible as well as functional. In-roof solar achieves that in a way that on-roof systems do not. Working alongside the heat pump specification meant we could ensure the solar and storage design accounted for the higher energy demand that comes with an air source system, giving each buyer a home that runs efficiently from day one.
